Location : The position will be
based in Shanghai.
Reporting Relationship : Reporting
to the Head, Trade Sales, China.
Education : A Bachelor degree
or above. Mandatory fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
To develop, for the specific client portfolio under
remit, a sales and marketing plan in line with overall China Relationship
strategy plan, and in conjunction with the China / NEA Trade and
Supply Chain Head and relevant Relationship Managers.
To agree and deliver revenue and activity targets for the
client portfolio managed and actively call on the client base to
ensure targeted realisation rates are met to generate the revenue
opportunities.
To manage the sales effort for significant cross-border
deals with the given client base whose principal decision-makers
are based within China / North East Asia.
To undertake and manage RFP and deal processes for the specific
client base to ensure optimum solution is provided and presented
to the customer; working with product management and cross country
sales team to deliver the desired results.
To identify opportunities for cross selling and referrals
to other business lines.
To provide feedback to Product Management on customer needs,
trends and market intelligence, and to provide direction on proposed
project/programme initiatives to central trade product management.
To manage deal flow communication in terms of pipeline,
sales and feedback on significant deals, utilising CMP process where
appropriate.
To manage the transfer of best practice between markets to
capitalise in learning with successive programme launches.
To manage budget and campaign processes to successful conclusion.
Qualifications :
Over 7 years experience of Corporate or Trade Finance product
range
In depth knowledge and working experience of Trade and Supply
Chain products is a plus but not required
Strong sales and presentation skills, with proven track
record of delivery against stretching targets and entrepreneurial
spirit.
Experience of direct negotiations with GC and or CC customers,
and a professional, confident manner.
Ability to represent the bank within the Trade and Supply
Chain and to manage some of the Bank's most demanding customers.
Enthusiasm and energy, and experience of being measured
against incremental sales targets.
Demonstrated competency in managing the changing needs of
a diverse and demanding customer base with an increasing competitive
business environment.
Good analytical skills and ability to interpret customer
needs.
Strong Project management ability and deal team mindset,
with strong organisational skills.
Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate and read Chinese is a major plus factor.
Team player with the ability to interact with other staff
at all levels across geographic locations and functions.
