Location : The position will
be based in Shanghai.
Reporting Relationship : Head
of cooperate banking team, China
Education :A Bachelor degree
or above. Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the Documentation and Administration
Processes for accounts of Consumer Banking in China.
To promote and enforce a service oriented process but independent
control over issuance of Security Compliance Certificates after
perfection of securing documentation, Credit Administration processes
as well as Custody process.
Manage the relationship between Credit Risk Control, Banking
and also with other divisions of the bank.
To liaise with customers, Property Valuers, Legal Firms and
other Commercial Banks.
To support the Bank¡¯s Outserve initiative, identify and implement
process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsible to ensure Compliance to Group Operational Risk
Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Prevention policy within the Unit
Play a key role on ad hoc projects, assignments that may
be assigned by Head, Credit Risk Control or General Manager, Banking
from time to time, meeting objectives and deadlines set.
Effective management of credit administration function and
credit documentation function within Credit Risk Control in line
with current objectives.
Ensure that securing documentation perfected is valid and
enforceable and appropriate legal opinions are held where necessary
for non-standard documentation.
Ensure all instructions and loan pre-processing functions
are in order and the Bank¡¯s interest are protected against fraud
and losses before authenticating instructions to Share Service Centre
(SSC), KL.
Effective management of resources and costs to keep the department¡¯s
cost within budget through close budgetary control.
Provide high level of service satisfaction to the Business
in line with Service Level Agreements and effective management of
all service and performance issues, service failure logs raised
by Business on Credit Risk Control and SSC.
Maintain Operational Procedures manual for Credit Risk Control.
Undertake timely periodic business monitoring (self-assessment)
activities and escalate findings and or breaches to Head, Credit
Risk Control and Unit Operational Risk Manager when they occur
Proactive initiative and continuous process improvement and
service quality.
Qualifications :
Preferably Tertiary Education or relevant professional qualification
with minimum 5 years experience at managerial/ supervisory level.
Ability to plan, organizes, lead and make spontaneous and
rational judgments and decisions.
Strong analytical skills in resolving operational and systems
issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge on bank¡¯s products/ services and
operations of other departments.
Knowledge of Retail Loan System, various Transaction Processing
Systems, and Securing Documentation System and Consolidated Customer
Database system is an advantage.
Good supervisory and management skills.
Sound knowledge of banking practices, relevant legislation
and Statutory and Regulatory requirements.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
