Reporting Relationship : Deputy General Manager

Responsibilities:

•  The COO will support the processing, documentation and risk management of the asset management unit's operations.

•  He/she must be experienced and able to work intelligently and autonomously in a new business unit environment.

•  He/she will be expected to understand all regulatory and compliance issues that are relevant to the day-to-day operation of an asset management firm.

•  The person must have the ability to conduct operations review and implement special projects to strengthen management control, such as improving upon the efficiency of the settlement process, the timeliness of the reporting process as well as implementation of benchmarking and other quality enhancement programmes.

•  Overseeing JV's finance & accounting system to assure the transparency and integrity of such financial statement

•  Developing JV's IT strategy and assuring its IT transparence

•  Organizing as well as streamlining and automating the business process

•  Enhancing all aspects of asset management operations to improve upon efficiency and ease of reporting

•  Human resource development


Qualifications :

•  The successful candidate will ideally fall into the bracket from 35 to 45, possessing the professional accounting designation of CA, CPA or equivalent.

•  He/she will be a seasoned operation professional who possesses excellent leadership and management skills.

•  An individual who is able to command the respect of his/her colleagues, and clients alike. Ideally, the person should be engaged in a similar capacity with a reputable asset management firm.

•  The person should have experience in asset market, understanding of Chinese equality market, as well as Chinese and International finance & accounting system.

•  Candidates having Chinese business operations experience are considered to be a must.

•  He/she should have a proven record of advancement to increasingly responsible management positions.

•  He/she must be fluent in both oral and written English and Chinese.

•  The JV in Shanghai will be leveraging on its international reputation to build success.

•  The incumbent must be a focused leader, one with the ability to add value to the management team.

•  The successful candidate will also be a self-motivated professional who has the ability to see projects and initiatives through from start to finish, and possess a real sense of team spirit and energy.

•  The person must be mature, confident, and possess the stature and presence to interface effectively with his/her colleagues within the firm, as well as with service providers.

•  He/she should be self-sufficient, a leader by example, and have a high level of energy.
