Reporting Relationship : The China Area Manger and functionally to the Director of HR for Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities :

•  The candidate will be responsible for all China human resources related activities.

•  S/He will be tasked with implementing and fine-tuning an all-encompassing human resources management function.

•  The role will revolve around day-to-day personnel management, as well as longer-term, more strategic aspects. Change management and developing a new multinational, process oriented culture will be fundamental to the role.

Duties can be classified into 6 broad categories:

•  Policies and Procedures 每 drafting, developing and implementing overall HR management policy, rules and regulations;

•  Recruitment and Training 每 overall management of these areas to grow and motivate the team;

•  C&B and Organisational Structure 每 developing and maintaining an organisational, and compensation & benefits structure;

•  Employee Interests 每 ensuring that company HR policies comply with government requirements, and are inline with or ahead of local market standards;

•  Overall management of personnel and organisational structure;

•  Organizational Development 每 career planning, succession planning, management development and training, localization, high potential employee identification and specialized development planning, etc.

 

Qualifications :

•  The ideal candidate will be a PRC National with a minimum of 7 years' HR experience with a multinational operation in China and 2-4 years experience in a broader HR management role with exposure to manufacturing and commercial operations.

•  S/He must have a good awareness of the China market and successful experience running an HR function for a large multination firm in China .

•  People with experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment, and prior experience leading corporate cultural change (Especially from an SOE to multinational mindset) would be preferable.

•  The incumbent will have good interpersonal and communication skills and a western mindset.

•  It is essential the candidate take a firm approach to change, yet know the best way to implement this in a Chinese environment.

•  They must be able to lead initiative and identify issues, seek resolution and then solve problems.

•  It is important that the HR Head have a personality suited to the business and current style of operation.

•  S/He will be a very open and down-to-earth person with the capability to adapt to the dynamic and flexible company culture.

•  S/He must also have good modern management skills and approaches.

•  The individual will be a strong believer in people, and understand the importance of people to the company&s culture.

•  This person will be in his/her 30s, and be a university graduate, ideally with international educational or work experience.

•  Candidates must have good written and spoken English and Mandarin language skills.
