Education : A Master degree or above. Mandatory fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities :

•  The Human Resources Manager will have a dual report line - to the China Country Manager / General Manager and General Manager - Personnel, Greater China.

•  HR Manager will also be responsible for defining all salary levels and gradings; administering welfare benefits; developing and maintaining relationships with government bodies; global management and supervision of HR; being the link between expatriate and local staff; and working with expatriate managers to create / implement policies to motivate staff.

•  He/She will be tasked with implementing and fine-tuning an all-encompassing human resources management function. The role will revolve around day-to-day personnel management, as well as longer-term, more strategic aspects.

•  The main tasks of the Human Resources Manager will be to develop and implement human resources, training, recruitment and personnel policies and strategies.

•  Policies & procedures - developing and implementing overall HR management policy .

•  Recruitment, training and development - overall management of these areas to grow and motivate the team .

•  C&B and organisational structure - developing and maintaining an organisational, and compensation & benefits structure.

•  Employee interests - ensuring that company HR policies comply with government requirements, and are in line with or ahead of local market standards.

•  Overall management of personnel and organisational structure.

 

Qualifications :

•  The Human Manager should have 1-2 years' experience in a management role and exposure to both running a HR function in a foreign JV manufacturing / technical operation, as well as working with office staff, engineers and managerial people.

•  He/She will have good interpersonal skills, a proven track record in maintaining a stable staff, good supervisory skills and a western mind set..

•  The HR Manager have a personality suited to the business and current style of operation.

•  He/She should be a very down to earth and hands-on manager.

•  The individual must feel comfortable interacting and working with people at all levels.

•  The HR Manager must be a diplomatic yet firm individual.
