Responsibilities :
Overall responsibility to strategically segment the Company's current and potential customers. Part of this responsibility is to supervise the research and analysis of both existing customers and new potential market segments and to provide comprehensive information on customer profiles, both demographic and psychographic, in order to guide the buying and servicing function.
Overall responsibility to spearhead new customer acquisition efforts. Direct response advertising is historically the major channel the company and its prime competitors have utilized.
It currently includes most print media advertising, i.e. direct mail, newspaper and magazine ads and mailing/package inserts.
New acquisition channels will also need to be explored. Partnerships with other industry players, suppliers, etc. need to be created.
Brand management of all of its catalogues. One of the key responsibilities will be to assist the CEO to create brand positioning strategies for all product lines and the Company itself.
Lifetime value management of existing customers. Using database marketing tools to segment the customer base and targeting them with one to one promotion tools to prolong the customer life time and improve their repeat purchase rate.
Research and develop new potential market segments that have solid mail order needs.
Qualifications :
Previous successful experience in change management and the ability to identify and communicate the need for new marketing strategy to the team with which he had previously worked.
Ability to establish and communicate shared strategic vision and future direction for the marketing operations.
Competency in both creating and executing marketing strategies.
Previous successful track record in creating and executing successful marketing strategies is required
Competency in communications and inter-personal skill, together with strong EQ as shown by,
Success in obtaining the confidence of others ¡ª particularly his superiors and peers in previous organizations ¡ª and having the influencing skills to sell ideas and present alternatives in a convincing fashion.
Ability to establish rapport with colleagues across various levels of management and supervisory staff, as well as externally with customers and other stakeholders in the business.
Competency in identifying business opportunities through innovative approaches.
Successful experience in identifying business opportunities with innovation and/or scientific study.
Sound ability to use marketing tools in pursuing business opportunities.
A creative and innovative leader who shows persistency in pursuing goals.
A hands-on leader who leads by example, evidencing energy and an unwavering desire to win.
An honest and proactive leader who is not afraid of taking responsibilities.
A mature and well-educated leader, with at least a university degree in marketing or management. An MBA from a top business school would be an advantage.
A mature leader who had more than 3 years experience as senior marketing managers in multinational companies.
Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
Successful marketing knowledge and experience in mainland China with sound understanding of local customers' needs, preferably in the fashion or FMCG industry.
Cutting edge quantitative and computer skills.
Sound knowledge and experience in direct marketing will be an advantage.
