Division Marketing Director
EDUCATION: University degree from a reputable institution.
Responsibilities :
The Division Advertising Manager will work to deliver communication programs and support the strategic business needs of the China division.
S/He will primarily interact with the Division Marketing Director, division brand teams, internal counterparts and advertising agencies.
The Division Advertising Manager will participate in all steps of the advertising production process ¨C from delivering agency briefs, to bringing experience and sharing what will and won't work, and what has/has not already been done; to facilitating and supporting production ¨C managing the agency, drafting and negotiating contracts, facilitating every project and ensuring the agencies give their best people and resources to each program.
The Division Advertising Manager will also be responsible for executing all measurement and ad testing as well as deciding which key messages are used.
A depth of China market insight will be needed to effectively perform this element of the role, as it is expected that ads will consistently test above average.
The Division Advertising Manager will also be required to work closely with and motivate the agencies.
Qualifications :
It is very important that the candidate be an open-minded, creative and very sophisticated individual.
S/he will have an in-depth understanding of the ad industry, remember past story boards, and have a strong feel for what will and won't work in Greater China.
Candidate will also need to set up an ad library for easy reference on past programs, as well as having links with Atlanta to learn, share and support international/global messages on an as needs basis.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive with 6 plus years' experience in the Greater China advertising field (agency or large MNC), with a minimum of 3 years' in the China market.
The Division Advertising Manager must have extensive experience working on advertising production, and be very familiar with local markets.
It is essential that the individual have a true feel and understanding of local markets, and has a proven track record of working on successful communication programs.
There is a need for an individual with a high level of sophistication and creativity who can think out of the box.
The individual will have exceptional Chinese language capabilities, as well as good interpersonal, negotiation, organization and coordination skills.
It is expected that the incumbent will be young, direct, very professional, and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The candidate will be an ethic Chinese with a relevant university education. S/He will have strong English and Chinese language skills (written and spoken).
