Reporting Relationship : CIO of China

Education : A Bachelor degree in industry, while computer Science or electrical engineering is preferred

Responsibilities :

•  Establishing strategies and deployment plans for the computing infrastructure and network for China Group and all joint ventures.

•  Executing corporate directives to ensure China computing and network infrastructure align with Global standards.

•  Leading and influencing Joint Ventures and Alliances to comply with global standards, including factory connectivity and business applications.

•  Establishing and maintaining an effective network for Global collaboration with protection of intellectual property.

•  Ensuring the tightest control of user access to the systems and prevention of cyber attack for all businesses in China .

•  Leading, Influencing and assisting Joint Ventures to implement the most feasible processes and solutions to achieve ˇ°JVs integrationˇ± to maximize business efficiency.

•  Managing suppliers to deliver projects on time and on budget.

•  Developing, owning and executing the infrastructure architecture in China .

•  Maintaining the IT operations metrics. Delivery to meet or exceed target.

•  Leading the infrastructure team, developing people and managing career of the team timely.

 

Qualifications :

•  The incumbent will be able to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately.

•  He/she should have broad knowledge and perspective, can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods, and can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.

•  It is vitally important that the candidate have a strong set of management skills.

•  The candidate should also have a strong personality, and be able to push back where required; communications and negotiating skills are also a prerequisite.

•  The candidate should have 15 years of IT experience in computer systems, information security, network and telecommunications.

•  The individual must have good interpersonal skills. He/she should have the confidence in managing people, the maturity of working with people at different levels, and the stature in commanding the respect from his peers and colleagues.

•  He/she will have the initiative and be able to function independently and effectively.

•  The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual who will lead by example in the technology implementation.

•  The incumbent will also need to be a self-starter and a continuous learner, in order to cope with the rapidly changing IT information and remain current on the latest technological developments.
