HR Manager <<back



EDUCATION: This person will be a university graduate.

Responsibilities:

•  As part of his/her daily duties, the HR Manager ¨C China will be responsible for managing and fine-tuning of the overall HR structure for China .

•  He/She will be tasked with implementing and fine-tuning an all-encompassing human resources management function.

•  The role will revolve around day-to-day personnel management, as well as longer-term, more strategic aspects.

•  Over time, this will also lead to HR becoming much more than an administrative function, and ultimately will result in the introduction of career planning, succession planning, management development and training, high potential employee identification and specialized development planning, etc..

•  The HR Manager ¨C China will be a critical link in the operational and strategic deployment of HR strategies in China . To effectively deliver HR strategies that are aligned with the IBU's and are part of the customer driven and process orientated organization the need exists for strong professional to lead a growing group of HR professionals.

•  Policies and Procedures - developing and implementing overall HR management policy;

•  Recruitment and Training - overall management of these areas to grow and motivate the team;

•  C&B and Organisational Structure - developing and maintaining an organisational, and compensation & benefits structure;

•  Employee Interests - ensuring that company HR policies comply with government requirements, and are in line with or ahead of local market standards;

•  Overall management of personnel and organisational structure; and by far the most important

•  Organizational Development - career planning, succession planning, management development and training, high potential employee identification and specialized development planning, etc..

 



Qualifications :

•  It is essential the individual have good written and spoken English and Mandarin capabilities.

•  It is expected that candidates will be in their late 20s to early 30s.

•  The ideal candidate will be a manager with a minimum of 5-6 years' human resources experience.

•  The incumbent will also have 2-3 years' experience in a management role and exposure to both running a HR function in a foreign JV manufacturing / technical operation, as well as working with office staff, engineers and managerial people.

•  S/He will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a proven track record in maintaining a stable staff, good supervisory skills and a western mindset.

•  It is essential the candidate have strong intellectual capabilities. They must be able to identify issues, seek resolution and then solve problems.

•  The candidate should also have the potential to develop rapidly into larger roles, possibly with an extended geographical coverage.

•  It is important that the HR Manager have a personality suited to the business and current style of operation. He/She should be a very down to earth and hands-on manager.

•  The individual must feel comfortable interacting and working with people at all levels. The HR Manager must be a diplomatic yet firm individual.
