Reporting Relationship : Expatriate A sia General Manager .
Responsibilities :
The Sales & Marketing Director will have both strategic and tactical responsibility for planning, implementing and managing all sales, marketing and distributor management in Greater China region. S/He will have P&L responsibility for the sales and marketing organization, and will be fully accountable for building and driving the commercial operations. S/He will also need to interface extensively with other departments.
Establishing sales and marketing strategic plans, yearly objectives and budgets, targets for Greater China, and ensuring the achievement of these targets.
Maintain business growth and momentum, and further strengthen the distributor sales model.
Develop the local management team, especially at the level of Regional Sales Manager, and create a professional sales team.
To foster a true sense of teamwork. Develop a system and culture where direct sales and dealer sales work effectively with the service and project group to deliver a totally integrated solutions package to clients.
Working with finance to establish credit policies and closely monitor accounts receivables and credit issues.
Providing credible leadership to create a cohesive and team oriented environment, and to leverage and synergize the expertise of various team members.
Developing and executing strategies covering effective management of dealers and distributors, direct sales force, product and marketing support, supply chain, pricing and regulatory policies.
Optimizing the structure of the distributor network to ensure maximum profitability and effectiveness.
Defining and determining market opportunities, product positioning and service initiatives while closely monitoring competitors' and related industry trends. Identifying emerging/future business developments.
Collaborating with senior management and other team members.
Developing training and educational materials in support of new and existing products.
Liaising with the Regional Office in Hong Kong , as well as the global product supply functions to synchronize business strategies and the execution of programs. Learning and capitalizing on the success models of other markets and adopting them for the China market.
Qualifications :
Candidates will require a minimum of ten years of progressive career experience with a multinational healthcare / medical equipment company with a good of dealers and distributors management system, and a strong customer service operation.
At least 2-3 years experience running medical sales and marketing operations in China .
Reasonable product knowledge and technical understanding.
A proven track record in dealer and product management, staff management and functioning in a demanding, action-oriented environment.
An ability to lead, motivate and inspire people.
Solid strategic, analytical, operational and commercial skills as well as solid business acumen.
A self-starter who is competent, creative, innovative and flexible with a collaborative and results-oriented management style. This individual should be capable of working independently as well as functioning as part of an integrated team.
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to build a cohesive focused and motivated team.
Culturally sensitive and able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
Maturity and stature to gain the respect and confidence of his/her staff, peers and supervisors within the organization in regional and global offices .
A certain level of principals that are clearly communicated and understood by dealers and staff.
A relevant degree from a recognized institution.
Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and English is mandatory.
