above. Mandatory fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
The objective of the Branch Head of Marketing of
Direct Distribution is to create a marketing organization to be
an equal partner with both Life and Non Life Profit Centers . It
will be responsible for alternate distribution initiatives within
the group regionally.
The Head of Marketing for DIRECT DISTRIBUTION of Branch
X will be responsible for the sale of Life (and Non Life) Insurance
and financial services products through the following channels on
behalf of the PC¡¯s. But short term focus would be on Life business.
Direct Marketing (including 3rd Party Sponsor and to all
customers where no agents are involved);
Bancassurance (including Branch selling and direct marketing);
Cross-selling to customers, new customers require through
sponsors.
Sales Development of all new strategic partner activities
(both bank and non bank) will be co-ordinated though a regional
Sales Development team within DIRECT DISTRIBUTION for all Profit
Centers.
Account Management for Banks and major strategic sponsors;
Management of the sales teams in the regional call centers
( if applicable);
Develop a common repeatable process across AIG companies
regionally for Marketing;
Development of creative ideas for the new products to support
alternative distribution;
Development and implementation of the regional and local
Bancassurance and Direct Marketing strategies.
Qualifications :
A masters or equivalent degree with at least 8 years
marketing management experience, banking experience will be a plus.
The candidate will be aged between mid to late 30¡¯s
The position demands a person with strong communication
and interpersonal skills able to communicate at senior levels both
internally and externally. The need to be able to sell new ideas
successfully is important to the job.
There is a need for fluency in both English and Mandarin;
An excellent background in marketing is required, not necessarily
in the insurance industry. Proven ability to achieve sales targets
and strong marketing strategy and planning skills are a pre requisite.
A good understanding of agency and channel management together
with knowledge of effective use of alternate channel distribution
is a prerequisite for the position.
Knowledge of the Banking industry and prior exposure in
Direct Marketing would also be an asset.
