above. Mandatory fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
The Asia Overcurrent Product Marketing Manager will
report directly to General Manager based in Chicago.
He / she will be stationed in Hong Kong / Taiwan, primarily
responsible for product sales growth, profitability management through
pricing activities and cost reduction actions; and product line
maintenance.
The Asia Overcurrent Product Marketing Manager is the primary
interface for the assigned product lines between the manufacturing
and supply chain functions and the customer and sales organization.
He / she needs to set and maintain worldwide pricing strategies
for product lines including customer contract negotiations.
The Asia Overcurrent Product Marketing Manager must be able
to identify new product ideas based on customer applications and
drive product development processes to deliver new products on time
and on budget.
He / she must be able to collect and analyze competitive
data on product capability, sales, costs and key customers to maintain
its product competitive position in the market; and to develop strategies
to penetrate new customers and maximize capacity utilization.
He / she also need to generate and maintain product data
sheets, documents on ongoing production performance tests, as well
as reports on product defect analysis in order to maximize customer
satisfaction and minimize company¡¯s liability and response costs.
With regards to product development, the successful candidate
must be able to develop and maintain a 5-year roadmap and provide
financial and product proposals.
He / she need to identify and drive cost reduction actions
to maintain and improve product line profit including specification
enhancements, yield improvements, identification of new sources,
suppliers or locations and process improvements.
He / she must be able to identify emerging market / applications
for products in combination with regional and segment marketing
and assist in the development in sales channels to gain access to
influential customers.
Other key functions of the Asia Overcurrent Product Marketing
Manager include providing product training to external parties and
internal departments, as well as working with Marcom for promotion
activities.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will ideally be in his
or her 30s to 40s with a degree in Engineering.
He / she should ideally possess a minimum of five years
experience in product marketing roles for similar or related products,
as well as experience in dealing with manufacturing operations,
customers, sales and distributors worldwide.
The successful candidate must have proven track records
in relevant functions and industries. The ability in conducting
financial analysis for product marketing purposes is essential.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently
under minimal supervision.
He / she must have excellent communication and interpersonal
skills in working across functions internally and be able to motivate
others to ensure success of assigned product lines.
The ideal candidate must be a self starter, analytical,
detail-oriented, mature, aggressive and with strong business acumen.
Since the Asia Overcurrent Product Marketing Manager will
have a lot of interaction with other colleagues internally, fluency
in spoken and written English is essential.
